Hair and skin care: setting realistic expectations
Prescription hair care usually takes 3 to 6 months before changes are noticeable. Response varies from person to person.
Prescription skincare is used as your provider directs; some people notice dryness or irritation at first. Tell your care team about any side effect that bothers you.
Hair and skin products aren't for use if you're pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive unless your provider says otherwise.
Not everyone qualifies, and no result is guaranteed.
This guide is general information, not medical advice. A licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate for you.
This is not for emergencies. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
